Privacy Policy — SteadyPress for iOS

This policy covers the SteadyPress iPhone app and its optional Apple Watch companion.

Data processed on your devices

• Camera frames: Used only in Dry Fire to provide form cues. Frames are analyzed on-device and are not recorded or uploaded during normal sessions.
• Microphone audio: Used on-device to time dry clicks or live-fire reports after you start a session. Audio is not saved or uploaded during normal sessions. Live Fire does not use the camera.
• Optional Apple Watch motion: During an active, connected Live Fire phone session, the Watch analyzes wrist movement and sends brief impulse magnitude and timestamp markers to the paired iPhone through Apple WatchConnectivity for shot confirmation. Continuous motion samples are not saved. Motion sensing stops when the Watch cannot reach the iPhone; disconnected markers are not queued. The resulting shot timing and confirmation may be saved as training history and included in optional iCloud sync.
• Training history: Session times, drill names, shot or rep timing, practice estimates and labels, goals, and personal bests are saved on this iPhone. Standard iOS device backups follow your Apple backup settings.
• Other settings: Firearm profiles, sensor preferences, and your learned movement baseline are not sent to SteadyPress or included in the optional CloudKit sync. Standard iOS device backups follow your Apple backup settings.
• Optional training clips: If you turn on Collect Training Data, the app can save pose landmark coordinates, click timing, and labels you choose. Clips are stored in the app's Documents folder, excluded from iOS backup, and stay on this iPhone unless you export them yourself.

Optional iCloud sync

If you turn on Save training to iCloud, SteadyPress stores a bounded snapshot of session dates, drill names, shot or rep timing, practice estimates and labels, timer-string timing and counts, goals, personal bests, and handedness in your private CloudKit database. The snapshot is associated with your iCloud account and can sync to your other devices that use SteadyPress with that account. It does not contain camera frames, microphone audio, or training clips. You can turn sync off in Settings; use Delete Training Data there to remove the saved snapshot and local training records.

Purchases

Apple processes App Store payments and subscription management. SteadyPress uses RevenueCat to load offers, validate purchase receipts, restore purchases, and check Premium access. RevenueCat receives purchase history and an anonymous App User ID for app functionality and purchase analytics/reporting. SteadyPress does not ask for your name or email, does not create an app account, and does not use purchase data for advertising or cross-app tracking. See RevenueCat's privacy policy.

Deletion and retention

Choose Settings → iCloud & data → Delete Training Data to remove local sessions, strings, goals, personal bests, firearm profiles, learned form data, and collected training clips, and to request deletion of the CloudKit snapshot. If iCloud is unavailable, local data is deleted and the app will tell you to reconnect and retry the iCloud deletion. Deleting training data does not cancel an App Store subscription; manage or cancel billing through your Apple subscription settings.

Local training records remain on this iPhone until you delete them or remove the app. CloudKit snapshots remain in your private iCloud database until deleted from the app or through Apple's iCloud data controls. RevenueCat and Apple retain purchase records as described in their own policies and as needed to process and restore transactions.

Sharing and tracking

We do not sell personal information, show ads, or track you across other companies' apps or websites. The iPhone and optional Watch exchange session state and brief shot-timing signals through Apple's WatchConnectivity. The app communicates with Apple for iCloud, WatchConnectivity, and App Store services, and with RevenueCat for in-app purchase processing and purchase analytics/reporting. SteadyPress does not operate an account or training-data server.
